Environmental Stewardship

One of Dymon’s most important principles is to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility in our businesses wherever possible.

Currently, Dymon has solar panel arrays installed on most of the facilities. This consists of 14,381 solar panels which generate 6 MWh or 6,096,387 kWh of electricity annually. To put that into perspective, the average family home consumes 30 kWh (Kilowatt hours) of electricity per day or 10,950 kWh per year.

  • Dymon’s current rooftop solar panel arrays produce enough electricity to power approximately 557 average family homes for a year.
  • Dymon generated enough energy to power a computer or TV for over 30 million hours.
  • Avoided creation of greenhouse gases including: 1,787,550 lbs of carbon dioxide (CO2) per year. That is equivalent to the (CO2) produced by 178 cars annually.

Electric and Hybrid Vehicles

Dymon’s fleet of electric Chevrolet Volts, electric Mitsubishi Outlanders, fuel efficient hybrid Toyota RAV4’s and diesel-fuelled Isuzu trucks, have also helped to lessen the impact on the environment and contributed significantly to Dymon’s fuel savings.

LEED & LED

All of Dymon’s buildings are built to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards to help minimize the impact on the environment. In addition,  In 2016, Dymon underwent a large scale initiative to change out every light to LED resulting in significant power savings.
